"So." What a fabulous word. In the realm of the English language it has so many different meanings, contexts, and roles. In fact, I think it's one of my favorite words... It introduces stories, "So, I was at the store yesterday...." It segues into a new topic, "So, what is it like where you live?" It highlights action, "They didn't want to listen to me, so I stood there and waited." It is used for emphasis, "I was so tired after walking to Tijeras." Once you start teaching English grammar, you become conscious of how many different roles it actually plays.
So, it's May now, and that means as part of my New Year's Resolution of trying new things in 30 day stints---it is time for a new challenge. Since I keep thinking I need to write more often and I am so often asked questions involving the word itself, I decided it was the perfect prompt for the next month of daily blogging.
So, now that that's cleared up, I invite and encourage you to read, comment, share, forward, and enjoy my blog as you learn a little bit more about my life here in South America. If you have any questions that have been plaguing your brain regarding my life here, feel free to comment or email them my way. So, yeah. I guess that's it for now. We'll see you tomorrow. So long, friend!
you = the best
